GAK 5
Arizona Peace Trail - Hot AzF
Year: 2020
This year we decided to change it up, and give Death Valley some time off to recover. The North half of the Arizona Peace Trail was on the menu, and mother nature served this dish piping hot. Stupid hot. Who was the dumbass that decided to brave the wild unknown of the Arizona desert in three digit temperatures???
Most participants were able to hide in their luxury conditioned air. While the others had to sweat it out with the windows down. With Clint riding shotgun, blasting farts, stinking up the joint and bitching in your ear about how hot it was. We did get some reprieve from the temperatures, when we reached elevation in the Hualapai Mountains. And again when we were able to find water at Alamo Lake and the Colorado River.
As always, we did have mechanical issues and tire casualties. But 8 vehicles and 11 participants, covered 350 miles of memorable GAK stained trails.

Leftovers
First stop was Parker, after we left San Diego at the crack of dawn. There we unloaded trailers, topped off gas and ice, and enjoyed our last breath of clean clothes and polished vehicles.
Fat ass steaks for dinner. Looks like these two did not get enough to eat.
Freddy found that elusive spider that knocked him out early on GAK #4
Spare tires and impact guns were needed early in the trip.
This day we limped back to Havasu, when Sean blew the motor in his Cherokee. After stashing his vehicle and redistributing supplies, we found a pool to cool off. I don’t know who’s pool it was….. a friend of a friend, or something?? Either way, the chlorine filter got a workout that day.
Back on the trail with a vehicle short and five more days of adventure.
Apparently Cookie and Ninja, do not know their right from their left.
Stupid comments incoming.
Shit Bags released Enrique from his lap, when we found a tree covered in underwear.
Scooter took our buddy for the rest of the day.
Finally the temperature dropped as we got further away from the desert floor. It was a nice change of scenery to be up in the timber. The next two nights, Gayvid slept in Ninja’s front seat. He figured bears didn’t know how to operate a Toyota 4runner door handle.
After navigating forest roads for miles, it opened up to a large section destroyed by fire.
More stupid ass comments needed.
Ninja’s 4Runner and Cooky’s Jeep has what it takes to make Suzuki Samuria.
Time to take a refreshing dip in the Colorado River
Last night
And last group photo before we loaded up for home (minus the pussies that left the night before)
And dead rabbit
